UP 4012 is one of the Big Boys built by ALCO in 1941 for the Union Pacific.4012 was retired in 1962 and was donated moved to Vermont as part of the collection of Steamtown USA. 4012 then moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania as part of the Steamtown National Historic Site collection where he sits today. 4012 is in a restorable condition but should remain in static display due to Steamtown tracks being old and unstable. In 2019, 4012 was removed from public display for a cosmetic restoration. In 2021, 4012 returned to static display.
